All:
The Holly Mutual system was turned off Monday morning to enable excavation work regarding a leak near our main pipeline. However the leak turned out not to be Holly Mutual water. After getting a lesson this morning from Colorado Water Well, I reactivated the Whitehall Well this evening in order that Holly Mutual will again be distributing water tomorrow (Tuesday morning). No guarantees from this rookie, as there was no way to test whether or not the pumps will start properly and on time. We elected not to alter the Whitehall timers that are delaying the startup of full water pressure at 8:00 am, so particularly those on the west side of the neighborhood shouldn't expect water until 8:20 am or so as has been the case for the past few weeks. This is still on the list to be fixed soon.
New pertinent information was also discovered at the Piedmont Well this morning that might actually be good news. However I'm still digesting that in light of the fact that a few weeks ago the Piedmont Well was losing around 66,000 gallons per day. There may be a plausible theory explaining all of this, but as apparently no Holly Mutual leak was found today, there may still be one or more elsewhere. More to come when I have better information.
Cheers,
Mark
