All:

There is not much to report at this stage. Because the latest leak is 
located very close to Piedmont, the city requires us to file for a 
permit and post a bond. This was done several days ago, and as of early 
Friday we were still waiting for the city to approve the permit. Even 
with a permit in hand we will be at the mercy of an available 
excavator. At the last report there was still hope for digging on 
Monday, but I got overwhelmed with other matters on Friday afternoon 
and wasn't able to track down an update.
