All,

As mentioned before, on Saturday we believed we had isolated the leak
from the majority of our pipeline and attempted to reactivate our water
distribution. However we subsequently discovered water seeping from the
same apparent leak, forcing us to shut the system down. This is
concerning because our leak repair plan was based on our best knowledge
of how the pipes are configured near the Whitehall Well, and this was
contradicted by the continued presence of the leak. What we want to
avoid is spending a lot of money and not fixing the problem.

One positive from Saturday was an alert shareholder spotted a geyser
rising near their property during our test. While we didn't expect this,
it gave us helpful clues about several mystery valves along our
pipeline. We now better understand what was blocking water for our
eastern boundary shareholders, and that problem may now be solvable.

After conferring with Colorado Water Well (CWW) and using the best
system maps we have available, we are going to try a test to better
define the source of the leak. We're hoping to start either this
afternoon or tomorrow morning. This isn't guaranteed to work, but at the
worst we should be able to discard some of the possible leak
explanations. After that we can better determine how to proceed.

CWW and the board are painfully aware there is a lot we don't know about
our pipeline, which was installed around 1957. We are unaware of any
original design documentation and the best we have us what CWW has
assembled by hook and crook over the years. There are still many holes
in our knowledge, and this is hampering our Whitehall leak repair. Board
members will be actively searching for plans/permits at the city than
may give us further insight, and also dredging through our corporate
records. If any residents amongst you, and especially those who have
lived here for a long time, have any documentation regarding the
pipeline, wells, valve locations, repairs, contractors who built the
system, or the engineering firm that designed it, please pass this on by
phone or email to one of the board members. It's a long shot, but even
if it doesn't help us now, it might in the future.

Cheers,
Mark
