All,

The Holly Mutual Board has been contacted by the Home Owners'
Association for Cherry Hills North, asking us to forward information to
our HOA regarding proposed aviation flight pattern changes. Being as
the HOA for our neighborhood ceased to exist many years ago, we decided
to pass this through the Holly Mutual Announcement email list in the
interest of expediency.

The concern is this proposal could significantly increase the number of
flights over our community, with attendant noise and potential loss of
property values. While this is being tracked by the Cherry Hills
Village City Government, there will be a meeting on Wednesday, November
1st at 6:30 p.m. at the Ramada Hotel & Suites located at 7770 South
Peoria Street Englewood 80112 that you might consider attending. Note
that if and after these plans are approved, there will be little or
nothing that can be done.

Follows is the email we received.

Cheers,
Mark Derbyshire

Dear Neighbors, please see the important information below regarding
the potential changes to FAA flight patterns. This could greatly impact
the serenity of our neighborhood and potentially impact our property
values.

FAA flight pattern:

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) recently held informational
workshops to distribute information on the proposed airspace
“improvements” for the Denver metro area. The FAA hopes
redesigning the airspace will address inefficiencies that impact
several airports in Colorado including DIA and Centennial Airport which
cost the airline industry over $1.8 million in fuel annually. The
Denver Metroplex redesign may involve changes in aircraft flight paths
and altitudes in certain areas. The City of Cherry Hills Village is
currently in the arrival and departure path for both DIA and Centennial
Airport. These changes could substantially increase flight traffic
over the Village, as much as a flight every minute.

The deadline to submit electronic comments to the FAA through their
website was June 5, 2017. Mayor Laura Christman and the City Council
are collaborating with other Denver Metro Area communities to oppose
the implementation of Metroplex Denver until local communities receive
adequate information to assess the impact of Metroplex as applicable to
their specific community and have the opportunity to submit
documentation to the FAA with respect to noise sensitive areas in their
communities, consistent with applicable law.

There will be a round table meeting on Wednesday, November 1st at 6:30
p.m. at the Ramada Hotel & Suites located at 7770 South Peoria Street
Englewood 80112.

Currently, Cherry Hills Village is experiencing more flights overhead
from Denver International Airport due the north runway having been
closed for maintenance through at least the end of October. These
additional flights are fewer than what we would experience should the
proposed Metroplex redesign be approved but they offer an example of
the level of noise that Cherry Hills Village would be subjected to
possibly as frequently as once a minute under the plan.

Of most importance, please send your concerns or questions about the
proposed flight pattern changes for DIA and Centennial to
noise.office at flydenver.com or by calling the noise complaint line at
303-342-2380. For more information on the issue, you may contact Katy
Brown, our City Council representative, at 303-860-0262 or
kbrown at cherryhillsvillage.com

[PLEASE NOTE: the City Council representative in the Holly Mutual Water
District is actually Dan Sheldon, 303-886-2838,
