Colorado Water Well reported back today that one of the Piedmont well
distribution motors suffered severe electrical damage and will have to
be replaced. They tried to substitute a slightly different sized motor
today, but it wouldn't fit. Unfortunately the earliest they will be
able to obtain and install an exact replacement will be Wednesday next
week.

In the meantime we will have to survive on the remaining Whitehall
well. The good news is this is the well with the larger storage tank,
but the bad news is this well has a lower pumping capacity than
Piedmont. We are working to identify a handful of volunteers to lower
the demands on the Whitehall well for the intervening days, and we are
asking the rest of you to cut back to 8 hours or less of watering on
your normal days (from 2:00 am to 10:00 am). We will return to the
extended hours when the Piedmont pump gets back on-line.

Even with these changes we will be very close each day to completely
draining the Whitehall storage tank. If this happens there will be no
water for anyone and the risk of further damage to our system. With
that in mind we are asking:

1. Please reduce your watering schedule to a maximum of 8 hours from 10
(2:00 am to 10:00 am).

2. Please only water on your allocated nights.

3. Please do not try to "catch up" for days already missed.

If everyone can follow these guidelines, we should be able to make it
until the Piedmont pump can be repaired. Otherwise we will have no
other choice than to drastically reduce the watering hours or eliminate
them. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to write:
