Many thanks to Dave Evans who has worked out an agreement with Denver Water
this week to operate our wells within their current drought regulations.
Special Denver Water permit signs should be available on Thursday that need
to be posted on each property as part of our compliance. Until that time,
Dave has an agreement from the water patrol office not to ticket our
district.
The well water distribution has been on for 24 hours a day to help property
owners turn on their irrigation systems. However Colorado Water Well (CWW)
reported we've already run into an alert condition, as the water demand has
been high. Timers were installed this year to distribute water according to
our schedule (1:30 - 9:00 am) which allows sufficient time during the day
for the wells to replenish the storage tanks.
As a compromise, CWW will set the timers initially for 1:30 am - 12:00
noon, to provide additional time for irrigation system testing. Actual
watering should be on your scheduled days from 1:30 - 9:00 am. Next week
the timers will be reprogrammed to the schedule. Please note the new
schedule is a modified circle-diamond-square system, rather than the three
day per week schedule that had been used in the past. Schedules will be
mailed and can be downloaded at:
