All:

Colorado Water Well checked the wells this morning, while I monitored water pressure at my location. While they had repaired and restored operation of the Whitehall Well this past Wednesday, it wasn't correctly configured in more than one way and wasn't distributing water. By the time they finished before 10:00 am, Whitehall was running and I had plenty of water pressure here.

I also insisted that they check the Piedmont Well. Unfortunately the Piedmont pit air was too unsafe for them to work, and they didn't have the necessary ventilation equipment with them. Nevertheless they determined that Piedmont is pumping from its well, although an unexpectedly low amount each day. We don't know whether this is a distribution issue, but it's possible that extremely high demand has caused its well water level to drop significantly. Next week they'll ventilate the pit and fully check Piedmont, along with its water level.

Until then both wells will be alternating to supply water. Whitehall has a larger storage tank than Piedmont, and is currently configured to distribute more water. Nevertheless we still need Piedmont for 10 hours of water distribution each night. Because we don't yet understand why Piedmont hasn't been supplying enough water, there may be unpredictable time gaps each night when there is no water pressure.

Please use only the water you need. We're still struggling.

Cheers,

Mark
