I'm sorry to have bothered anyone who was not affected.
As apparently applies to all other Waste Management (WM) customers in
this neighborhood, we did not get our trash picked up this past Friday.
I called WM (303-797-1600) this morning and was told that while they
tried to reschedule the pickup for Saturday, no drivers were available
and the pickup for the past week was therefore completely cancelled. The
next pickup is scheduled for Friday, August 19. I tried to reason with
them, but the customer service representative said there is nothing they
can do. I mentioned that delayed pickups are becoming more and more
common, and their invoice amounts have been rapidly increasing. I asked
whether they automatically credit accounts for missed services. They do
not, but they will on request, which is what they did for me.
I have no guarantee that what I was told was correct, but I thought I
would pass along this information.
