All:
The Whitehall repairs commenced on Tuesday and have been proceeding
reasonably well. We lost time today because the excavator couldn't find
the main pipeline, but Colorado Water Well (CWW) came by to point out
that they just needed to dig deeper - our recently discovered maps
proved to be dead-on correct. There is still one pipe that needs to be
capped, but there's little question where it is because we recently
installed a valve a short distance away.
CWW expects the repair work to complete sometime tomorrow, and are
cautiously planning to restart the Whitehall Well on Friday, along with
reopening the section of pipe that is preventing the three remaining
properties from receiving water. If this is successful we should be back
to full supply capacity for all properties. Fortunately the Piedmont
Well has been holding up on its own during the interim.
I wish this could have completed months ago. However we now know more
about our entire system than we have for at least a few decades, and
solved a number of nagging supply problems along the way. Another
personal thanks to our neighborhood for enduring the troubles!
Cheers,
Mark
