All:
The leak that caused us to shut down the Holly Mutual system Tuesday
night/Wednesday morning turned out to be not our problem. The Holly
Mutual system is back in operation, and was in fact working last night;
unfortunately we did not get updated until just now.
We have also switched back to our 'cool weather' schedule of operation,
which provides water from 3:00-10:00 am. Normally this is done on
August 16th, but it took a few extra days to confirm the timers were
being changed.
Please remember to attend our shareholders' meeting on September 12
from 7:00-9:00 pm at the Cherry Hills Village City Hall. If you are
unable to attend, please appoint a proxy and ensure your proxy form is
submitted in time for the meeting. These may be brought in personally
by your proxy, or mailed to Bill Lohringel, our accountant. It is
critical that we reach a quorum to conduct any business, and elect a
new board. Otherwise we will have to do this again.
All five board positions are open, and the moment we have three
shareholders who have volunteered to be nominated for the election:
Carol Breeze (current)
Mark Derbyshire (current)
Brad Kornfeld (new)
We need at least two additional shareholders to volunteer, or we will
have to 'twist arms' during the meeting. Please consider adding your
name - the work is minimal, but critical to the operation of our water
company.
Carol Breeze has prepared a document that provides the background and
information about the Holly Mutual Water Company. This is both for new
and existing shareholders, and is intended to answer many of the common
questions we receive. Some of this information is pertinent to the
upcoming shareholders' meeting and the future direction of Holly
Mutual; we encourage all of you to read this before the meeting:
