All:
Colorado Water Well (CWW) will be starting the Holly Mutual water
system sometime on Friday, April 13, and we expect to be operational
over the weekend. The Piedmont well is fully functional, but we are
experiencing controller problems with the Whitehall well. This may
limit the water supply, however we thought it best to turn on the
system as early as possible. CWW will be working to solve the Whitehall
issues next week.
Normally we leave the wells on 24 hours a day from April 15 to May 1 to
provide users the opportunity to have their irrigation companies turn
on and test their systems during the day. Because of the hot weather to
date and the problems with the Whitehall well, we will only be running
the system from midnight to 6:00 pm every day. This should provide some
time for the system to recover and fill its storage tanks at night.
While we are flexible on times for system testing, the watering
schedule still needs to be followed. Each property is assigned two days
a week, and until June 16 all irrigation must be accomplished only on
those two days, from 2:00 - 10:00 am. If demand exceeds the supply, we
may be forced to curtail this availability.
Thanks,
Mark Derbyshire
