All:
As many have noticed, the water supply from the wells has been erratic
over the past week. Following our recent repairs, we had decided to
leave the system on 24/7 to allow everyone a chance to perform testing
and maintenance on their irrigation systems. However a few properties
took advantage of this and watered their lawns during the day.
Unfortunately this prevents the wells from replenishing our storage
tanks, which is the only way the system can provide sufficient water
volume during the established watering periods.
Today I asked Colorado Water Well to adjust the well timers to only
provide water during the announced irrigation times. Please make sure
your system is set to only water during your designated time periods.
If these are respected, there should be enough water for everyone.
Otherwise the storage tanks get depleted and there is no way for the
system to recover, in which case no one gets water.
We would prefer not to take any draconian measures, but the board has
previously put in place the option to permanently sever connections to
owners that repeatedly and intentionally do not follow the schedule. If
you have any special watering needs, such as newly installed turf,
please let us know. We have always been able to accommodate these
requests in the past, but we need to coordinate the process to ensure
the system can continue to provide water for everyone.
Thanks,
Mark Derbyshire,
President of the Board of Directors,
