All:

During the hottest time of the summer, we run the wells from
12:00-10:00 am. On August 16th, the pump timers are normally reset to
run only from 3:00-10:00 am. This year we waited another week because
of the heat spells, but Colorado Water Well has been instructed to
adjust the wells to the late summer times. Please reset your irrigation
timers to reflect this schedule.

Our aquifer levels have been steadily dropping, which reduces the
amount of water we can pump in each succeeding year. Based on our
current pumping rates and the water storage capacity at both wells, we
should still be able to provide water to all residences for ten hours,
twice a week. Unfortunately this summer we have been running out of
water, often after only six hours. Considerable effort has been
invested to determine if the system is performing correctly, and some
small improvements have been made. However our water demand this year
is far ahead of the historical averages.

Next year we will need to make changes to re-budget our limited water
resources and/or identify any shareholders using water outside of their
designated times. We also need to look at the future of the Holly
Mutual System, as we are approaching the time when the wells will run
dry. At our last shareholders' meeting we failed to make a quorum,
which means we technically no longer have the sitting board required to
investigate and address these issues. In the near future we plan to
call a shareholders' meeting to elect a new board and discuss what lies
ahead. If you are able to run for the new board, we really need your
help, as we have lost/are losing those who have sold their properties.
If you are unable, please be sure to attend the meeting or sign a proxy
when it arrives in mail.

Thanks,
Mark Derbyshire
