All:
During early April the Piedmont well pit flooded, causing extensive
damage to the electrical and pumping equipment. As you may have
noticed, Colorado Water Well has been busy since that time making the
necessary repairs. We expect another 1-2 weeks before Piedmont is again
operational. We have been fortunate as the Whitehall well has worked
flawlessly and the weather has cooperated with cooler temperatures and
significant precipitation. So far this year the Holly Mutual system has
been able to keep up with the water demand.
We normally run a dual season irrigation schedule. From April 16 - June
15 and August 16 - September 30 we provide water for seven hours a day.
During the hotter season from June 16 - August 15, we increase the
watering times to ten hours a day. Each household is allocated two
specific days per week on our published watering schedule to accomplish
their irrigation.
Unfortunately without both wells operating, we do not currently have
the capacity to increase the watering times. Until further notice, we
will continue providing water for only seven hours per day. Please
continue watering on the "cool season" schedule until the Piedmont
repairs are completed, at which time we will announce the "hot season"
schedule. If water is used responsibly during this time, there should
be enough to maintain the seven hour allocation.
Our current irrigation schedule is available at our web site:

If you are new to the neighborhood, please take a moment to verify that
we have you listed correctly. If not, please respond to this email
address and provide us with your name and address. We will incorporate
any corrections into our next update.
Thanks,
Mark Derbyshire,
Holly Mutual Board
