It's looking like the turnout will be very good for the
Colorado State Grade Championship this Saturday at
Springs Ranch Elementary in Colorado Springs. There seems
to be a better distribution among the grades this year,
and some very strong players this time. But I think that
there is a lack of 12th graders. So if you know any, get
them to play. The title of State Champion for each of
the grades will be awarded and the tournament is sanctioned
by the CSCA. Rated and unrated (nonmember) players alike
can play. Winning a State Champion title is something a
kid can remember and cherish for lifetime. It looks good
on college apps and resumes too.

This tournament is in addition to the traditional State
Championship tournament that will be held as usual in
February. Recruit some players if you can. The better
the competition, the more fun it will be!
