Dear Brian,
The current Kansas Chess bulletin Fall 2007 PLAINS CHESS features your game vs
Francis Crow as the first game listed with your analysis (pages 11, 12, and 13
of the bulletin). The link to see the bulletin is listed below.
I see you like Shakespeare. My favorite quote is "Cry havoc and let slip the
dogs of war" from Julius Cesaer. Another quote that I like by another playright
(about the same time period) is "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned." Even
though it has been attributed to Shakespeare, alas Shakespeare never wrote it.
It is from The Morning Bride (1697) by William Congreve. This later "Hell hath
no fury"has been quoted in a number of movies including the recent X-Men: The
Last Stand and others. The "Cry havoc" quote was made in the movie The Star
Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country and a number of other movies.
Sincerely,
Laurence Coker
Overland Park, KS
