[BrianWall-ChessList] I have always thought

I have always thought
I should be writing for millions, not thousands.
I constantly hear refernces to myself from forums I never heard of, for example,
I just joined a nice site, www.Chess.com because someone posted
a Fishing Pole game there in response to someone hating the Black side of the
Ruy Lopez.
I also found out someone is posting my stuff to
Chess_General_Discussion at Yahoogroups.com
which I never heard of either.
So word gets around somehow.
I woke up yesterday morning to a letter from France requesting my book.
That made my day. I sold 14 books at the Littleton Scholastic tournament
at Newton Middle School, Colorado Blvd and Arapahoe. I caught up with Eruna
Derbyshire there, one of my favorite Chess Moms. Everyone loved my book there
-people were hunting ME down. One woman was a librarian, another guy Hill was a
Chess coach - he bought three, one for his daughter, one for a student and one
for his Chess Class. I sold 4 books at the Storyville Lion simul. I caught up
with the guy who has the best record against me in Colorado, former Champ Jerry
Kearns, 5-0. Jerry is now involved
in Real Estate Law, paving the way for massive liquor stores.
I celebrated at my favorite place to eat in the whole world, My Brother's Bar
at 15th and Platte and had a pitcher of beer, a large fries and two Jalapeno
Chesseburgers. I will always be grateful to my wife Debbie - she tried to
recreate that burger in Texas because I missed it so much. The waitress
Michelle told me the secret recipe last night after 30 years of eating them.
I used to go to the Wazee Supper Club and My Brother's bar with Mark Sherbring
when I was underage - they didn't check IDs so much back then. I am so grateful
to them for that I have been a loyal customer forever. I have a rule I only take
women there I love. I won't name them for you, they know who they are.

I finished reading an incredible book from my MySpace buddy Paco Ahlgren. I like
it so much I mention it in my ebay and Amazon ads for - How to Play Chess Like
An Animal. It combines drug and alcohol use, quantum physics, Chess, Science
fiction, awesome life advice, Freddy Krueger, the rise and fall of man,
finance, music, vivid descriptions of places, feelings and emotions with a
compelling plot line. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to understand
life. Two of the lines that helped me the most were -
"Sometimes the best thing to do is nothing, just let the universe correct
itself." and
" Life is sometimes about what NOT to do".

A Tal trick I learned 20 years ago has given me hundreds of wins. Tal sacced his
h-pawn against Gurgenidze and then put his rook on the open h-file. Try it -
it's fun. Tal analyzes the game in his autobioagraphy.
