One of the reasons I don't write as much analysis of GM games is that Dennis
Monokroussos of Chessbase.com does such a great job.

Horrors! As in the Las Vegas 1999 FIDE k.o., Vassily Ivanchuk lost to
his talented but lower-rated Romanian opponent, Liviu-Dieter Nisipeanu
(2.5-1.5). Painful, but he's not alone - Grischuk lost in the
tiebreaks today as well, to Bareev (1.5-.5). Nominal favorite Bacrot
(by one point!) went down 2-0 to Karjakin, but the other three
favorites survived: Sasikiran defeated Macieja 3-1, Svidler triumphed
over Rublevsky 1.5.-.5, and Aronian bageled Inarkiev 2-0.
Here are the round 4 pairings:
Karjakin - Nisipeanu
Bareev - Alekseev
Jakovenko - Aronian
Shirov - Akopian
Ponomariov - Sasikiran
Kamsky - Svidler
Adams - Carlsen
Wang Yue - Cheparinov
(As usual, the pairings are grouped for your prognosticating
convenience: the winner of the first match in a quartet plays the
winner of the second match, the winner of the first quartet plays the
winner of the second quartet, etc.)
Games, with comments, later tonight or early tomorrow. Games without
comments can be found [1]here or [2]here.
