Billy Wilson has matinee good looks, a new wife, a great job teaching at Regis (
Catholic ) and a winning personality.

Chris Peterson crossed the 1700 barrier at the 2007 World Open
and lives with Robert Ramirez.

Dave Wallace and Chris Peterson honed the 1 d4 2 Bf4 Ng1-f3-e5 g4, h4
opening into a feared weapon. Billy seemed to be imitating or
mocking Peterson's weapon by adopting it as White.

Don't play in Chris's back yard unless you want
to get cut up by the razors laying under the leaves.

Billy is having a rough tournament - he lost last week to his student
Eric " Baby Botvinnik " Massey. I beat Eric with the Clam ( 1 e4 e5 2 d3 )
this week.

[Event "Denver Chess Club Tuesday Night"]
[Site "1st and Acoma, 1st Presbyterian Church, Denver, CO"]
[Date "2007.08.21"]
[Round "3"]
[White "Billy Wilson"]
[Black "Chris Peterson"]
[Result "0-1"]
[ICCResult "Black forfeits on time"]
[WhiteElo "1812"]
[BlackElo "1739"]
[Opening "King's Indian: East Indian defense"]
[ECO "A48"]
[NIC "QP.06"]
[Time "11:54:36"]
[TimeControl "60+8"]

1. d4 Nf6 2. Nf3 g6 3. Nc3 d5 4. Bf4 Bg7
5. e3 O-O 6. Be2 c5 7. Ne5 Nc6 8. g4

Billy looks like he is imitating the Wallace-Peterson Attack
but usually g4 attacks a bishop on f5 when they do it.

8 ... Qb6 9. Na4 Qa5+! 10. c3! cxd4 11. Nxc6! bxc6! 12. exd4

12 b4! would give Billy a nice position.

12 ... Nd7

Misssing 12 ... B:g4!!
due to 13 B:g4 N:g4 14 Q:g4 Q:a4
or
13 b4 B:e2! 14 K:e2 Qb5+

13. b4 Qd8! 14. Qd2 e5 15. Bh6 Bxh6! 16. Qxh6! exd4!
17. cxd4! Qe7! 18. Qd2 Re8 19. Kf1! Nf6! 20. f3! Rb8!
21. a3! a5! 22. Rb1??

The game has stayed in a narrow range of plus or minus
one point so far but now Billy starts losing it.

22 ... Bxg4!!

Chris missed this shot 10 moves ago -
the idea now is 23 fg Qe4!!
( spearing rooks )
24 Kf2 Q:h1!! 25 R:h1 Ne4+!!
( spearing a Queen )

23. Nc5 Bh3+!! 24. Kf2 Nh5!!

90% of tactical problems involve removing the pieces
between the Attacking Queen and the Defending King.

25. Nd3 Qh4+!!

Winning the Queen after
26 Kg1 Q:d4+ 27 Nf2 Q:d2

0-1 Billy resigns
